Interment: His body has been cremated and private family interment of his ashes will occur at Forest Cemetery.

Gary died Saturday of a drowning accident at the age of 40 years, 10 months and 8 days.

Gary Lee Jones, son of Robert Edgar and Violet Marie Chilcote Jones, was born August 19, 1968 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. He was a 1986 graduate of Oskaloosa High School and then attended Truman State University, the University of Northern Iowa and later William Penn College. Following his education, Gary worked as a salesman for Wilcox-Garland Furniture Store in Oskaloosa, Iowa. He moved to Princeton, KY in 1998 and was employed by Food Giant Grocery. He is a member of the First Christian Church in Oskaloosa and enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by his parents, Bob E. and Violet Jones of Oskaloosa; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Rev. Clifford and Karen Jones of Princeton KY; Keith D. and Susan Jones of Chanhassen, MN; Steven R. and Cynthia Jones of Portland, OR; and three nieces; three nephews; one great niece; and one great nephew.

Memorials may be made to The First Christian Church in Princeton or The First Christian Church in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
