| Visitation: Will begin at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday morning, June 16, 2009 at Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. to greet visitors. |
| Funeral Service: 1:30 p.m., Wednesday afternoon June 17, 2009 at Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Oskaloosa with Rev. Marvin Leese officiating. A 1:15 p.m. Family Prayer Service will precede the funeral service in the church fellowship hall. |

Della passed away Saturday evening at Mahaska Hospital in Oskaloosa at the age of 97 years and 26 days. |
Della Grace Meinders, daughter of William and Nellie Groenenboom Van Hulzen, was born May 17, 1912 near Barnes City. She attended Old Rose Hill Country School. On February 21, 1934, she was united in marriage to Tim N. Meinders at the home of her parents near Rose Hill. Tim died February 23, 1999. They farmed near Pella for 7 years. In 1941 they moved to a farm near Rose Hill where they farmed for 55 years. In October of 1995 they moved to Oskaloosa where Della was a long time charter member of the Bethel Christian Reformed Church. Della made her profession of faith at an early age. Della enjoyed the farm life and loved assisting with the dairy operation. She also enjoyed flowers, gardening and delighted in spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Della’s family includes her children and their spouses: Junella and Keith Schultz of Des Moines, Clarence Meinders of Pella, Janice Lester of Oskaloosa, Carolyn and Rick Vos of Pella and Shirley and Tony Van Zee of Pleasantville, IA; 17 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. |
Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Clarence Meinders; a sister, Caroline Van Roekel; a brother, A. (Dutch) Van Hulzen; and a son in-law, Norman Lester.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Activity Fund at Crystal Heights Care Center, Oskaloosa Senior Citizens Center or Good News Chapel. |
