| Visitation: Will begin at 9:00 a.m., Thursday morning, March 12, 2009 at at Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel; the family will be present from 10:00 a.m. to service time to greet visitors. |
| Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m., Thursday morning, March 12, 2009 at Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel with Pastor Bob Morris of the Central United Methodist church officiating. |
Interment: Cremation will follow the funeral service and her ashes will be buried at a later time. |
Loretta passed away Monday morning at the Mahaska Hospital in Oskaloosa at the age of 63 years, 1 month and 4 days. |
Loretta Lane Gibbs was born February 5, 1946 at Oskaloosa, Iowa to Frank and Dorothy DeWitt Beadle. She attended school in Oskaloosa. February 21, 1964 she married Leland Tanke, they later divorced. September 26, 1988, she married Romas C. Gibbs. He died May 6, 1991 while they were residing in Oregon. Loretta was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary, V.F.W. Auxiliary and Tops #725. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, beach combing, being out doors, her dogs, crafts and playing Bingo.

Her family includes a daughter, Robin Heyne of Conway S.C.; a son and daughter-in-law, David & Teresa Shafer of Oskaloosa; four grandchildren: Shea Heyne, Japser Heyne, Salia Henderson and Sarah Henderson; two brothers and a sister-in-law: Frank Jr. and Beverly Beadle of Oskaloosa and Paul Beadle of McKenzie Bridge, Oregon; her special friend, John Weber of Oskaloosa; and several nieces and nephews. |
Besides her parents and her husband Romas; she was preceded in death by five brothers: Larry, Rex, Dale, Daniel and Kenny; a sister, Evelyn Cisna and an infant son Ernest Eugene Tanke. |
Memorials may be made to the Ecumenical Cupboard. |
