Visitation: Will begin at 11:00 A.M., Monday morning, October 13, 2008 at Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel; the family will be present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. to greet visitors.
Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m., Tuesday morning, October 14, 2008 at Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel with Reverend John Battern of New Sharon United Methodist Church officiating.
Interment: New Sharon Friends Cemetery with Military Honors by the Harry L. Anderson Post # 34 of the American Legion, VFW Post #2237 and DAV Post #21.

Bobby passed away after a sudden illness Thursday morning at the University of Iowa Hospital.

Bob Eugene Wymore, son of Carl R. and Maxine Moore Wymore, was born September 16, 1947 in Ottumwa, Iowa. Bob attended schools in the Wright and Oskaloosa area. He enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he served from 1965 to 1970. He married Connie Coffey May 9, 1968 in Oskaloosa, to this union one daughter, Julie, was born. Bob came from a long line of truck drivers, following a family tradition. In his early years he drove truck for Smith Transfer, Passaic Grain, CFI & Doug Herbert Racing. He later became an owner/operator of his own truck and was leased to R & M Trucking in Oskaloosa. Bob lived in several different states throughout his life and was employed in several areas, but always came back to trucking. He founded the Southern Iowa Truck Show in Oskaloosa ten years ago and continued until health problems prevented him from continuing. Bob was a NASCAR and NHRA drag racing fan and had worked for several drivers. Bob’s favorite pastime was riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and spending time with family. He had a great sense of humor and he loved to make people laugh with a joke or a prank. He made friends wherever he went and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

His family includes his daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Ray Gleason of New Sharon; his grandchildren: Amber Gleason of Oskaloosa and Joe, Jessica and Clay Gleason of New Sharon; his sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Jim Wright of Lowry City, MO and his brother, Jim Wymore of Columbia, MO.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Wymore.

Memorials may be made to the North Mahaska School’s Music or Athletic Departments.
